Participants will...
1. gain an understanding of the impact that abuse, neglect, and exposure to violence has on the developing child and adolescent.
2. begin to develop an approach to the forensic assessment of the child, adolescent, and family in matiers pertaining to the child's safety and well being in the context of the community and relevant to the court.
3. develop strategies for enhancing cross disciplinary and cross agency collaboration to ensure Child Centered Decision-Making.

6 Continuing Education Credits
This special in-depth workshop counts as 6 elective credits toward our Child Sexual Abuse Treatment Certificate Program. Please indicate on the registration form if you are or would like to be enrolled in the certificate program. See our web sites for more information on this certificate series.

Continuing Education and Act 48
Credits 6 CE credits will be offered to participants completing post-workshop forms.

-- Psychologists: The Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology, Widener University, is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Widener University maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

-- Social Workers: The Center for Social Work Education of Widener University is a pre-approved provider by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors to offer continuing education credits for licensed social workers.

-Act 48 Credits are also available.
